Careers and Experiencing Work

The Careers and Experiencing Work Short Course aims to enable students to develop and demonstrate a range of skills through Careers and Employability activities and studies.

Within these lessons learners can explore, investigate and understand the opportunities, responsibilities and experiences that careers and the world of work have to offer.  Students will learn how to create a CV, interview techniques and benefit from a work experience week.

The Careers and Experiencing Work Short Course student book contains activities across seven modules:

  • Self-development
  • Career exploration
  • Career management
  • Considering higher education
  • Considering apprenticeships
  • Preparing for the workplace
  • Being at work

This course recognises and rewards students personal achievements and allows them to manage their own learning.  This encourages students to develop their own independence, personal effectiveness and their employability skills.
